The police in Tenaha, Texas have apparently been shaking down people, often motorists who are persons of color, as a regular way of doing business. I had thought that such crimes were limited to some small jurisdictions such as Tenaha, but am hearing that the same thing goes on in large cities as well. I only know of it in certain counties in California (Alameda, Amador, Humboldt, Sacramento). How widespread a problem is it?

We have a thick gym mat in our playroom, which has hard wood floors (brazilian redwood). It provides safety for a platform swing, but moves around when my son swings. How can I make it stay put, while not harming the hard wood floors? If it’s a product, the source to buy it would be great!

I’ve been pretty good, up until today. I’m freaking out and I hope someone can ease my concerns. I work at an Inn in the Northeast. We have a beautiful front lawn, and a courtyard with a garden. The courtyard doors are always open, and I sit right by them. The owner of the Inn just informed me today that both the front lawn and the courtyard were sprayed yesterday. I worked yesterday. He has no idea what it was sprayed with however, knowing him and his gardens, I know it was heavy duty stuff.

I’ve had a great pregnancy so far, and my baby girl is healthy, healthy, healthy however I have heard horror stories about pregnancy complications and spraying. Again, this was yesterday. I worked yesterday and had no idea! It was raining so I closed the doors about two hours in, however I was walking around out in the courtyard. I’m working today as well.

Will I be okay, or should I be concerned and go to my Dr. first thing tomorrow?

This is my first and I’m hoping I’m just being super paranoid 🙁

Now they get to enjoy their beaches and swim in their water while Louisianan’s are cleaning up the oil off their beaches and getting sick from the waters.

We’ ve recently torn down our old fence and replaced it with a new redwood fence. Several days ago, our male dog began "coughing", which sounded like he was trying to cough up a furball. Doing research tonight on the internet, it appears that this could be kennel cough caused by excess dust. My husband and I read that along with antibiotics, they often give cough medicine. Does anyone know the type? Is it in liquid or pill form?

I know I am not supposed to replace a redwood fence during raining season, but what is the low season for fencers in California? Any other information I need to know about this, let me know. Thanks a lot!
