Where does the Hilton Garden Inn get their furniture and bathroom counters and shower and floor tiles.?

I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Manhatten, and i really liked their furniture and the bathroom; does anyone know where they get it?

Thank You!

We are going to California on vacation. It will be our first visit to L.A. Suggestions anyone?

Special places to eat, to visit, etc. Thanks.
Thanks for the info so far. Taking your advice, I’m adding details. It’s a family vacation – 11 y.o. son and 9 y.o. daughter. We’ll be going to L.A. and probably 1-2 other areas – San Francisco for one. Also, if you have info re: thrifting, auctioning, etc. I collect vintage & retro (mostly midcentury). Thank again.

What do these words have in common: cotton, dog, hard, iron, redwood, sandal?

The answer might be that if you add wood to the end it makes a word, but it doesn’t really work with redwood, because it already has wood at the end. I’m confused, please help me.

Would you watch a movie Called California Vacation, about a person who travels to California and…?

…Ends up living there getting into crazy situations involving, criminal mischief, drug dealing and mass transportation, lots of partying and road trips, riches, then failure and run-ins with the law. Then finally hiding from the law in his home state, until he is convinced by his family to turn him self in. I already have he screenplay written and in motion to be received and picked up so don’t try and steal the idea.

Looking for a hotel in Northern California in the grand old style?

We will be vacationing in Northern California and Oregon. We plan to fly into Sacramento and drive to Crater Lake. I’d like to stay in one of those big ‘ol hotels – like The Overlook in the film The Shining. I’m hoping that there is something like this three hours or less north of Sacramento where we can spend our first and last night. So far a net search is pulling up nothing except corporate chains and small, low budget, privately owned accommodations. To elaborate: We plan to do a lot of hiking and camping. We have a lot of gear and I’m considering packing it into a crate and shipping it to the hotel so that it will arrive in advance. The corporate chain hotels usually can’t be bothered with this kind of thing. Privately owned hotels, particularly the more luxurious ones, will usually go a great deal further to please their clients. In addition, we’d like the ambiance of of one of the grand old hotels and considering that we will be spending quite a few nights in a tent we will be able to blow some cash on a pricey hotel and will appreciate the comfort at the end of our wilderness sojourn.

Need help with california vacation plans!?

my husband and i are going to california next year for almost 3 weeks. our schedule goes like this so far:

flight- 1 day
san francisco- 4 days
ocean beach- 1 day
monterey, big sur, carmel area- 4 days
just driving along the coast on hwy 1- 1 day
napa valley- 4 days
yosemite- 4 days
flight- 1 day

my question is, do i really need that 1 whole day of just driving on Hwy 1? or will i get enough of that on the way from san fran to monterey and monterey to big sur, etc.? should i use that day for something else, like possibly going to see the ghost town of Bodie after yosemite for the day or maybe going to santa cruz for the day? or is just driving down the coast really worth it? i can’t decide. i am very much into photography, especially black and white and infrared and my husband is too and i think we could take some amazing photos in bodie, plus it would be a neat change of scenery, to see the old west and the desert. but i also have this feeling that i will regret not spending more time on the beautiful coast, seeing the cliffs and the ocean on the road. if you have experience with any of these places let me know. thanks!

Difference between Sequoias/Redwoods?

What is the difference? I have always wanted to see the biggest trees on earth. I have seen beautiful pictures of them in misty forests. I am not sure where to go to see them. Are they redwoods or sequoias?
Also, my husband is handicapped and has limited mobility, so hiking is out of the question. Any advice? Where to see them? Where to stay? How to get around?
