I have got a costal redwood and a sequoia and am growing them at my house in las vegas, but my family who lives in the shasta area of CA would want to plant some sequia trees at their home. Any tips or ideas on how to do it?

My fiance and I are getting married in April 2011, and we are planning to leave on our honeymoon the 2nd week in May. We are taking off for a couple weeks and going on a Road Trip! We live in South East Michigan and plan on driving into Northern California, driving South on the Pacific Coast Highway until L.A. From there we will spend a few days in Vegas and then Head back Home. We don’t necessarily plan on stopping everywhere for a couple days…we mainly want to drive South on the PCH for the views…I hear they are incredible. I would like our main stays to be a couple days each on a couple beach cities and a couple days in Vegas. The rest we will just be stopping, sight seeing, etc.

Does anyone have any suggestions for us??? Places we just HAVE to see, restaurants along the way we HAVE to try??? I really appreciate any input.

I live in Northern California where it is very hot in the summer but we also get snow in the winter. I have 2 dogs and we want as much privacy as possible. We are looking for as long term as possible but don’t want to spend a TON! We were looking at cedar, incense cedar or maybe something else…not redwood really.

Hey – I’m from northern Canada… one of my dream vacations has always been to rent a convertible and drive the California coast line and party on the beaches – watch the sunset – do some surfing…

What’s a good time of year to do this? How long would it take to drive the length of California? What are good places to stop at along the way?

I’m thinking of taking a vacation to the Redwood Forest. Does anyone know of a hotel on the beach near there? It can be about 30 minutes away from the forest.

I’m looking for Relaxing Vacation spots in California no more than 5 hours from the Bay Area. It’s for a family of 4 and we’re going to mostly relax but we still want some place fun and entertaining. Preferably a place with not many tourists.

We had a party here the other night and someone puked on our back deck and no one noticed it until the the next afternoon and it was all dried out. I tried cleaning it up with both car washing soap and with white vinegar but there is still a big stain that looks like a shadow on the deck. The deck is redwood with brown paint over it. Please help.

My family is looking for a vacation this year in either California or Oregon. We currently live very close to San Francisco so that’s not really an option. Any suggestions?

We want to sell the redwood to help with cost if removal.
