How well would a Giant Sequia tree grow in the Shasta area of California?
I have got a costal redwood and a sequoia and am growing them at my house in las vegas, but my family who lives in the shasta area of CA would want to plant some sequia trees at their home. Any tips or ideas on how to do it?

Seems to me Sequoias would do well around Shasta as long as they were not planted too far up in the air. Sequoias/redwoods do not like high altitudes.
Both sequoias are recommended and will grow well in the Lake Shasta area. If you want further information on these trees I would suggest reading the Sunset Western Garden Book by the publishers of Sunset Magazine or you could look them up on the web.
