Volunteer to build houses in bay area?
I was wondering if anyone knew where you can volunteer to help build houses in the bay area. This summer I would love to get involved in community service. I think it would be fun to help build houses so does anyone know of places in the bay area close to Redwood City (that is where I live). Traveling from San Francisco to Redwood National Park?
I’m going to be traveling from San Francisco to Redwood National Park in May. I’ll eventually end up in Portland. I don’t have a whole lot of time, but I want to maximize my views, and I’d like to drive along the coast for a while. Would it be better to take 101 or Highway 1 to Redwood? I’m not intending on stopping to take pictures all the time, and I’m not against speeding. Approximately how long would it take to take either road.
What tree would best describe your personality?
I would be a redwood, though I’m not tall and statuesque as they are. I’m kind of hard on the outside, but relatively soft and fragile on the inside. What about you?
Ah, the mimosa is a beautiful tree and was my husband’s favorite. Just beautiful.
Those willowy branches of the willow provide the most wonderful shade.
Love the bonsai and my father cultivates them.
And the smell of pine is a welcome relief as I climb into the mountains.
