What do you think/know/have heard about Humboldt County california?
Hengelo It’s my home county and I’m just curious about what other people think or know about it.

People think Humboldt is a weed mecca full of hippies.
I think humboldt is absolutely beautiful. I’m thinking I might go to humboldt state. That is of course if I can get over the "ooooh" *grin*, i get every time I tell somebody i want to go there.
I grew up in Redway and lived in Eureka for 7 years. I absolutely love Humboldt County, but there is definately a hippi problem in Redway. If I had to pick some things Humboldt county was famous for it would be drugs and reggae on the river, but for me what makes it special is the sites: there is so much to do in nature. My fav hang outs were Patricks Point, trinidad, moonstone beach, salmon creek, benbow lake and shelter cove. Oh yeah and ofcourse it’s famous for redwoods.
