what type of wood do they use at the beach for their steps?
Zahedan does anyone know what kind of wood they use to make the paths of steps on the beaches
i know its cured wood but what type is it.
Redwood?

yeah i don’t mind how it looks just as long its low maintenance
another question not sure if i can do this here but what type of anchor bolts or anchor should i use
to hold down the wooden steps to the sand the hill side has quite a slope

Not sure what type of wood they use but I’ve favored the following:
Cedar, but you’ll need to put a coat of sealer on it every year.
Cypress, hard to find but very rot resistant.
My favorite is Teak as gains a beautiful coloring after exposure to the sun and salt.

it depends on if you are a homeowner or a municipality. Where I live in Southern NJ, on the beach, homeowners use either cedar decking with pressure treated support members or everything pressure treated.
the city uses some exotic hardwood from south america and pressure ttreated lumber.
Depends on multiple variables. Does it have to look nice,?If so, You would use Teak. Although very expensive, it is very dense and will weather nicely over time. If it is more for utility and you dont care how nice it looks, most carpenters would almost always use pressure treated doug fir. It comes in a variety of lengths and widths. Pressure treated is as it sounds "treated" it will last forever. You may want to consider using pressure treated doug fir for the framing, and use teak for the actual treads, best of both worlds. Redwood is ok, but will turn a variety of colors and tend to soak up alot of water and swell up alot. Cedar will do the same. Hope this helps. Good luck.
