I am wondering about long-term apartments in Seattle, WA. HELP PLEASE!!!?
Hey everybody!
I am have been looking into long term apartments in Seattle. When my boyfriend and I move, we want to stay somewhere furnished for a month until we can find a real apartment. The cheapest long term apt. I can find is Marvin Gardens Inn which is 5/mo. Does anyone know if this is a decent place to stay….is it a trashy motel or is is nice??? Please help!!! I have been looking online and can’t find much on it…..I just dont want to stay in a roach motel for a month. Anyway, if you have any other long-term stay suggestions or any info on Marvin Gardens Inn, please help me out….Thank You.

The area is probably OK This might give you an idea of what is close by http://www.lostinseattle.com/LIS/-imagemaps/c-detail16-14.shtml Belltown tends to be a night out area but with the weather being wet at the moment you will probably not have too many people out on the streets late. I’d say its a good spot for short term while you look for something else. Good grocery store might be tough if you are walking.
I can tell you that after having stayed at Marvin Gardens twice in the past on short term basis, such as you are needing,( the most recent being in October) the only thing you may have to contend with is the corner of Third and Bell after dark, if you happen to have a window on that side of the Inn.
The noise from after hours closing times at the Croc and Lava, not to mention the consistent seedy underbelly that tend to stay on that corner until daylight, might be your only unpleasant experience. There are no bugs at all. Yes they have raised their monthly rent by $100 but location, paid utilities, no lease and extremely low deposit help to make this one of the least expensive locations in the area for what you are looking for. The most pleasant is the staff. They are extremely friendly and helpful. Whatever doesn’t work get’s fixed. Parking sucks downtown remember, on average it will cost between $10 and $15 to park on the street everyday. For short term you really can’t ask for much better price wise. Any more info needed about it I can answer hopefully. The tenant population is mixed. There are families, professionals, and relocating people. I’ve never had a problem with anyone in the building.
