Would you rather go to Tahiti/Bora Bora or Dubai?
My boyfriend and I are going on vacation for 9 days in September 2007. I want to go to Dubai because there is a gorgeous beach with really blue water, along with an indoor ski resort, city, nightlife, shopping, sand dunes and the latest and greatest architecture! My boyfriend wants to go to a deserted island like Bora Bora where there is BEAUTIFUL, CLEAR water, but I think we would get bored after 3-4 days and I would get island fever! Anyone been on any of these two? If not, have any of these places come to your mind?
What would you choose?
If none of these appeal to you, where would you go?
BTW, my boyfriend is originally from the UK and I am Vietnamese-American (born and raised in Texas). We both reside in Northern California just to give you a background of us. Also, we have never been to either of these places.
Thanks for any of your opinions and output in advance!

People in Dubai suffer from "shopping mall fever" when its to hot to do anything outside. After a few days hiding in the mall you are looking for anything else to do.
Dubail is awfully hot even in September. It’s about 50 Celcius degrees over there. They start tourist season in October when it get a bit cooler, like 40 degrees.
If you want to go to Jumeirah Beach it will be expensive. But it worth all the money you pay for it. Hotels are luxurious over there. Al Qasr and Le Royal Meridien are not expensive comparing to Burj Al Arab, but a lot better than Hilton Jumeirah. I wouldn’t say that night life is great in Dubai. Don’t forget it’s a muslim country and they don’t appreciate drinking.
If I were you living big city life I’d go to Bora Bora. It’s not deserted island, it’s a good party place. Lots of young people, very nice beach. It’s more relaxing
