Where is a nice place to live in humboldt county?
We are looking to move across country from new york to california and humboldt county looks nice. We’re thinking of Arcata, Eureka or McKinleyville, but might be looking for a small town a bit more inland with less fog and warmer weather. What would you suggest?

Those towns are nice and pretty much on the coast so you’re gonna get fog every now and then and the cool ocean breeze. I’m not from there but know people who grew up there and they loved it. It’s a hippy area, known for growing good pot. If you don’t like cool ocean weather I wouldn’t live there, but it’s really cute and nice. If you want to go inland from there I would check out Redding, CA.
