Looking for affordable/best storage solutions…?
Hi all,
I am going to be away on intern+vacation for the summer. I currently live in northern California. I am looking for affordable and best summer storage solutions. To save the trouble of leasing and subleasing my current house, I will move out with all my stuff and then move into another place when I am back at the time the summer is over.
I imagine I will need to to store a few boxes somewhere, and hopefully at a shaded location(without direct sunshine).
Could anybody give me some pointers of the storage solution providers with good pricing? I am hoping a door-to-door type of service, i.e. the service provider pick the boxes from me when I departure and bring them back to me when I am back.
Also, where do I find good pricing on solid paper boxes for my storage?
Thanks a lot!

Call the storage warehouses and ask the pricing for what you want. Very easy. Go to the yellow pages and go down the list. They come and load your stuff on a truck. Then they return to the huge, usually concrete constructed warehouse that is taller than a tree and place your stuff in a vault. The vault is a wooden crate. The vault is sealed and placed in the warehouse that is air-conditioned.
Boxes can be purchase for a reasonable cost at U-Haul and Wal-Mart. Why do you want solid paper boxes? Solid paper would be quite heavy. For the size boxes that will serve your storage needs, I don’t think you can get that size in solid paper without paying a very high cost. Those type of boxes are extremely strong and large. Over kill for your needs. Think cardboard.
