San Diego is a beautiful coastal city with lots of things to do. You will find beach hotels located in Pacific Beach, Coronado Island, La Jolla, and Mission Bay.
For things to do….it really depends on what you want to do. For nightlife, you would want to visit the Gaslamp Quarter…where there are lots of choices for live entertainment, dancing, and dining.
Looking for outdoor activities? You could kayak through the La Jolla caves, bike along the coast, hike to Cedar Falls, play volleyball on the beach, relax on a sunny beach, jet ski, surf, fish, or cruise the bay by boat. One of my favorite things to do is roast marshmallows at my own beach bonfire.
Balboa Park is definitely worth a visit. There are tons of fascinating exhibits at a wide variety of museums from natural history, space, sports, art, model railroads, and more. The San Diego Zoo is also located in Balboa Park.
There’s always the Wild Animal Park, Sea World, and Lego Land (if you have young children). You can also enjoy wine tasting, theater, and (if you are a baseball fan)….there’s the Padres.
Whatever, you do…have fun!
