I really can’t think of any reason. I have been able to enjoy their beauty, their spectaculars, their enormity, so screw everyone else, lets cut-em down.

Sequoia sempervirens is the sole living species of the genus Sequoia in the cypress family Cupressaceae
they are the last of their kind…. the tallest tree, the most massive tree, and very close to the oldest single living thing…..
if they are lost, it will be a huge and terrible loss to those who care….. we will all be ‘lesser men’ if they are not allowed to continue….
Meanolma.. said it best. I would simply like to add that, once we have destroyed all the trees, we won’t have the CO2 being used up and oxygen being produced as we do now.
But we could just destroy all plant life, then die on a sterile dead planet.
