about vacation pay in California?
i currently work for a company based out of michigan, but the center im at is in northern california.
recently got a job offer elsewhere and accepted. unfortunately im not giving them a formal "2 week" notice.
i was reviewing their company handbook, and it states if the employee does not give a proper 2 week notice, your vacation pay is automaticly forfeited…i have 70 hours unused….
my question is, is there an exception to this policy since im in the state of California?
~thanks

Yes, vacation pay in California is considered income and must be paid.
If for some reason you do not get paid, you can easily find the regulation on the State of California, Division of Labor Standards Enforcement website.
there are several states that reard vacation as wages and must be paid CA is one of those states
