What is the best time of year to visit the California Redwoods?
I want to go asap but I figure maybe I should wait until Spring?

Wait until late spring, early summer. We went in the middle of June and the weather was perfect, few people, and no bugs.

Yes, wait until it gets warmer. I went in August and I had to wear a jacket through the Muir Woods.
Plus, stop in Sonoma Valley when you’re there at a couple wineries!
The redwoods are beautiful at any time of the year – it may be damper & a bit chillier in the winter, but still beautiful and if you’re dressed for the occasion, you’ll be fine!
Also remember that redwood forests are fairly dense and shady – therefore, they’re going to be coolish, even in the summer, so bring a sweater or light jacket!
Hope this helps!
