I live in Southern California-need a vacation- we have $1000 to spend and 3 days – any suggestions?
It’s our 17th year anniversary. We love nature and the ocean – been here forever – we feel like we’ve seen it all but we have to keep it local.
Any interesting suggestions would be sooo appreciated!

Try going up the coast a few hours. Cambria, San Luis Obispo……not too far, by the ocean, beautiful!

Why not a bed and breakfast near the beach? I know of one in Carpinteria (www.prufrocks.com), but I’m sure that there are others.

Down South Laguna the Laguna Inn and Spa is nice lots of good local restaurants and go to all the art galleries during the day.
All Places I have gone a few for my aniversary so good luck hope this helps
Come up to Pismo Beach for day 1! It’s pretty beautiful and calm and the beaches aren’t crowded like in LA.
For day 2, feel free to go about 15 min. north to San Luis Obispo and enjoy the shopping centers and downtown.
For day 3, take the highway 1 to San Simeon and enjoy Hearst Castle. After you’re done, feel free to watch the sea lions. Later, enjoy beautiful Morro Bay and visit the lovely shops they have.
In the end, you’ll wish that you lived up in SLO (San Luis Obispo) County. ^_^
