My dad is visiting. I am a single mom of a f-yr old girl. The three of us want to do something interesting for my girl and easy for my dad (he’s not 100% able bodied) we are in the SF Bay area?
I would like to involve both. So far I have a train trip through the redwoods on my list. But I have not been able to come up with any thing else. Day trips?

We are leaving from WA state to TN the 2nd week of December. We have several routing options, and we’re taking our time b/c we have two small kids. Anyone have suggestions on neat stops to make along the way? We were thinking of driving down the coast to the Redwoods in CA, but are open to suggestions.
i live in california. do i have to tell her fater that im going to be gone? He has visitation but he hasnt seen her in over a month. he’s trying to tell me i have to tell him where im going and for how long.

I have a 10 month old springer spaniel he has always been healthy and a big time food lover.
He sleeps in his basket which is in his crate at night. When I came down on Thursday morning I found poo and sick in it. I whisked Riley (the dog) out to the garden and cleaned it with this antibacterial stuff. He seemed well enough so i gave him breakfast. Rather than wolfing it down like normal he took him time and actually chewed.. he even left some which he has never done before.
I thought it was just because he was feeling unwell so took him on the 30 minute morning walk as usual. When I got back i stayed in the kitchen with Riley (as didn’t want him being sick anywehere else as it is all carpet) Within the periopd of an hour he ws sick twice. He retched but not for an adnormal amount of time and then his breakfast reappeard. We cleared this up and I took him out to the garden on the lead bcause he was happier there; i kept him on his lead though as I wasn’t sure whether it woul be bad for him to eat grass.
At 12 o clock (lunchtime) he was sick again; this time however it was phlegm/bile. By now we were really worried so we made an apppiontment at the vets. We took him in at 3 and the vet felt his stomach and decide it was normal so concluded he hadn’t swallowed anything (he doesn’rt normally chew things anyway). The vet then decide it was gastrocnitis (or something along those lines) which basically meant his stomach linig was inflamed. He was given a concuction of 4 drugs that would ease the inflamation and we were given a tin of food that was sensitivity stuff and instructed to give him no foood for the rest of the day but half a tin in the morning at around 10. The drugs meant that he was dopey for the rest of the evening but the vet had warned us that would happennn.
This morning, Friday, he seemed ok. He asked to come on a walk so I took him but not very far. We went to give him the food at 10 but he wasn’t having any of it. He didn’t even stand up when we raised the food bowl. For the rest of the day he was dopey and not himself; he wouldn’t stand up to greet me when I walked and just
just lifted his head. We tried giving him food regularly, trying his normal biscuits and some rice cooked inn chicken stock aswell as the tinned sensitive stsuff but he wouldn’t eat any. At about 9 this evening he was sick for the first time today and it was just phlegm plus some liquid (wev’e been offering him half a cupful every hour as the vet advised and Riley has been drinking some). He has now taken himself into the cage and is unresponive to his name (does not even lift his head)
If anyone thinks they know what is wrong could they tell me or any suggestions of how I can help Riley. I will take him to he vets but I can’t untill the morning at 10 oclock

I hate to do it, but its to the poiint where it needs to be done. The fence is being ripped apary by its roots and the neighbors are constantly complaining about ti shading all their plants. We would not even be able to build a new fence on the property line until the stump was taken out. How much does it usually cost to get a tree removed? It is a pretty good size. It is in a normal residential situation so its huge for a backyard like that. Its close to numerous houses.
Was offered teaching position; may be teaching music, freelancing (violin) in the area.
