Where is a good place to vacation in Northern California?
http://artedgeek.com/ALFA_DATA I looked at some previous questions about northern California and people were suggesting Lake Tahoe or Yosemite. Are there any good places to go towards the top of California? We love hiking and mountains. We want to also travel into Oregon without having to drive too long. How long would it take to get from Yosemite to Oregon, it just seemed too far.

Try the Mount Shasta region or maybe Lassen Natl Park. Great country up there in the lower Cascades, and only an hour or so from Oregon.
It’s a LONG drive from Yosemite to Oregon, and I would never recommend a vacation to Yosemite in the summer time. Way overcrowded, and gridlock.
