When should I start applying to colleges?

Begin applying over the summer and early into the next semester. It’s best to send your application in early because you have a better chance of being accepted if your not one of the last ones to send it in. I applied the day the application was due to my college and it stressed me out. Do yourself and a favor and get it done early and give yourself a better chance to get in. Usually colleges post a deadline on their website under a potential students category disclosing dates for early application submission, normal and late.

Start on the apps as soon as they are available. Getting them done early is a good idea that way you don’t have to worry about it later. Plus, if you have any questions you have time to ask. Also, if you get them in early and the school sees that you forgot something (for example, a letter of recommendation), they may be willing to give you a call so that you can still get it in.
