What are the choices I have to find a deal on an affordable rental car in San Francisco. Rent a Wreck?

But to travel down the coast or north maybe to the redwoods or to the wine country Should I rent a car? Are there alternative rental car copmpanies? What about the green tortoise? Do they do day trips anywhere?

Rent a Wreck is OK. I’d also look at City Rent a Car; I’ve found they have reasonable rates.
