What are some good places to stop on my road trip?

What are some really cool things that I can stop for on the way (sight seeing stuff and things that cost little or no money) Thanks!

If you can make it over right outside of Salem,OR. There is a little town called Silverton. And right Downtown is a beautiful Boutique Hotel called the Silverton Inn and Suites. I have a lot of returning guest who make the same sort of trips you do every year. They make multiple stops, seeing the country side and I am happy to be one of them.
