State of California Vacation Hours Policy?
Bouïra "Subject to state laws, unused vacation time made available to any Employee under
this policy but not taken prior to the end of each calendar year or termination from
employment (whichever occurs first) is forfeited."
I know that California has a different rule, what is it? How much am I allowed to accrue before my company doesn’t have to pay me?

In CA, vacation time (as well as PTO time) is seen as wages. Hours cannot be forfeited, but your co. can put a reasonable cap on the # of hours accrued (such as 2x the yearly amount or a set # of hours like 160) at which your vacation stops growing. They can pay you out your balance at the end of the year or at the time you reach your cap if they wish. But they cannot wipe your slate clean each year; it’s wages owed to you. They can, however, do this with sick time accrued and holidays.
