Depends on your definition of "cold". Pretty much it will be in the 50’s during the day, cooler at higher elevations. At night in the 30’s to 40’s. Not cold but not warm by any means either. The Redwood Forests along the immediate coast are never that warm, usually 60’s during summer with fog many times, but if you go just slightly inland the temps rise quickly.

The warmest place in Ca this time of year are in the deserts or elsewhere in Southern CA. But even then it’s not that warm. 60’s along the coast during the day unless there is an offshore flow then 70’s to 80’s possibly. This weekend it’s suppose to be sunny and in the 70’s in Southern Ca but will probably drop back down to the 60’s by early next week. But there are not any redwood forests or really any forests in Southern CA except for the highest elevations, which are cold.

The Sierra redwoods are covered with snow. The Coastal redwoods are soaked in cold rain and drizzly fog.
