In Georgia, can I force a hotel to extend my reservation by one day even if they’re fully booked? If so, how?
http://thehistoryhacker.com/2013/07/ I made a 2-day reservation at the Hilton Garden Inn in Columbus, GA. Due to a work emergency, I must stay in town an extra day. The hotel says they have no rooms for the next night and I have to checkout. All other hotels in the city are also fully booked. Is there anything I can do to force the hotel to let me stay an extra day?

No, you can’t force them to. But you could ask them to let you know if there are any cancellations right away, so that you could reserve a room for one more night.

You cannot force the hotel to accomodate you. You can, however, entice them to serve your wishes. Find out who the hotel front desk manager, sales manager, or marketing director is, and send them a present or two. If your business is something amusing or creative, feel free to tie it in to that. Make them remember you and think fondly of you. When you beg to enjoy their hospitality for another evening, they will remember your generosity and strive to please a "big spender."
