I want to construct some raised planters to grow vegetables in. What type of wood should I use?
buy provigil in mexico Since I have two big dogs I want to construct a couple of planters that sit 2-3 feet off the ground. My only only thing is I am trying to figure out what type of wood to use. My choices are redwood, pressure treated, and standard pine lumber. I would prefer something that I don’t have to treat with stain but will if I have to.

I am working on a bed now and I went with treated it is safe to use now a few years ago treated wood was un safe for garden but that has all been changed Good Luck

The safest wood is untreated. For unstained I would go with redwood. Redwood naturally repels insects and will look better than either the pine or the treated.

there are 2X4’s made of synthetic plastic, colored to look like wood, extremely attractive. you don’t need to worry about eventual rot with them.

A favourite with Australian gardeners are railroad sleepers/cross ties.Termites can’t eat them & they stay where they are put.

Cedar, or redwood.
Cedar is generally recommended as the best for veggie beds, because it’s rot-resistant and has no chemicals added. It’s a little expensive, though.
