How to attach gate stopper to the side of the house.?
http://justrpg.com/reviews/ecco-dolphin-defender-future I have a redwood fence. The side yard has a gate that is attached to that fence. The part that stops the gate from swinging in the opposite direction is presently attached only with nails. I am building a new gate and stopper. What is the best way to attach the gate stopper to the house. My house is stuckco. Not sure if I can locate a stud.

Use Tapcons, they work fine in stucco

You can use plastic wall anchors in stucco. Drill out a hole, stick in the anchor (may have to tap with a hammer), and install the screw. That’s how I did mine. You can also get lead anchors that might hold onto the stucco better.
The previous answer that said to use tapcon screws will work. But, you can’t use the original screw that came with the latch – tapcon’s are a bright anodozed blue color that may not look good.
get a post hole digger and dig a post hole as close to house as can
set set a post of cedar there 4 or 6 inch diameter should do it if you like you can box the post in to house after it is set with inch boards to get an exact fit
once that is complete you will have a surface to attatch to
