How is the job market in Humboldt County, California?

If the job market is bad down here in Southern California, its probably worse up there.

Humboldt is one of the poorest counties in California. It has one of the highest rates of unemployment. It’s predominantly rural with only a few towns of any real size. What opportunities exist will be limited.
They are still hiring fire fighters.
As for actually using a degree it would really depend on what field the degree is in. It is not a major metro area but there are some jobs. Check craigslist for an idea of volume.
