How do I care for Sequoia sempervirens ?
Lurasidone price I recently bought my Coastal Redwood in a seed packet online. Only one grew! It is now about 2 inches tall and I am wondering how to care for it! I live in Pennsylvania (outside Philadelphia). Is it okay for me to plant my Giant Redwood outside when it gets a bit taller or will the summers be too hot and winters too cold? Anything else I should know in caring for my tree? Thanks!

Sequoia sempervirens is a massive conifer, densely branched and pyramidical in youth, with age it loses its lower branches, retaining the pyramidal crown. Under cultivation in the east, it usually reaches 40-60′ tall. The bark of this tree has been photographed often, a rich reddish brown, deeply furrowed and ridged, highly textured. Needles remain dark green through the seasons, some cultivars have bluish green cast to them. Flowers are inconspicuous, small cones are 3/4-1" long. It prefers moist, well drained, acidic soil, does best in areas with high atmospheric moisture. Not seriously bothered by pests. A definite specimen tree, some smaller cultivars are available. Native to the foggy coastal areas from San Francisco to southern Oregon.
