Going to california 26 May for 1 week Flying to san francisco then out from LA – how should I spend the time?
http://artedgeek.com/2013/05/20/35th-annual-student-art-show-at-the-barn-gallery-ogunquit-me/img_0258/ My friend who is travelling with me has booked us an internal flight which will mean we only spend about 2 days in San Francisco and the rest of the time in LA. I’ve heard from friends that there’s not much to see in LA if you’re not into shopping and sitting on the beach. I’m considering asking him to try and cancel the internal flight and maybe we could hire a car and drive between the two cities – i heard the coast route is really nice. I’m into museums and history and would love to see the giant redwoods and stuff…we have a friend in LA to stay with but nothing else booked…please help – I’m really worried that we’ll spend a load of money to get over there and waste the little time we have!

If you like wine, there will be lots of wineries throughout California. For info on these wineries, wine tasting coupons, winery maps, recommendations on restaurants and lodging check out http://www.cheers2wine.com.
The scenery between San Francisco and LA is beautiful coastal scenery. You would probably love the drive. It’s not crowded like you will find Los Angeles. There are many small coastal cities to visit along the way.
If you like museums, be sure to visit the Getty in Los Angeles. I think they take reservations. Check out their website here: http://www.getty.edu/
