California vacation/road trip suggestions?
My friend and I are flying out to California in March of next year. We don’t have anything planned, so I’d like some suggestions on what to do/see.
We were thinking of flying into Sacramento then traveling down and ending in either San Diego or Las Vegas, NV, depending on time. Some things we thought of were
Sacramento, Lake Tahoe, San Fransico, Hollywood/LA, San Diego, Disney Land, but I need some details from people who have actually been there so we don’t miss anything really cool. I saw something about Dead Valley Memorial? Cool stuff like that. We’re open to anything city/night life, natural/nature spots, beaches, mountains, amusement parks, whatever!!!
Thanks!!

I would suggest Yosemite National Park. Also do you like factories? You have the Jelly Belly Factory, the sticker factor, and the cheese factory. Also if your like fresh fruit and vegetables. You might want to consider driving through the valley. You can head south on Hwy 99 of I-5. From Lodi-Bakersfield you have produce stands which sell delicious food. Lodi/Manteca area has wineries if you don’t make it to Napa. Visit the Redwoods while you are in the bay area.

I Would Go To The Santa Cruiz Beach Board Walk…And Definatly China Town In Sanf FranSisco
Hearst Castle, Solvang, are two places that you might find interesting and they would be on the way to southern Ca.
When you arrive in Southern CA, there is of course Disneyland but not far from there is Knotts Berry Farm, you can shop and eat there without actually going into the park. Right there is the Pirates or the Knights Dinner theatre ( I have forgotten what its called !!! lol) Where you go to watch them joust/play pirates! and have your dinner. Its alot of fun, I’ve been to the knights and you get no silverware just eat the chicken with your hands and Drink!! We stayed at a local motel (theyre’ plenty of them) and just walked our buzzed selves home!
Oh and you can check out what new plays are going on in the theatre in hollywood too. That is a great experiance too. Unless you live near a large city you don’t always get to see what being done on broadway.
Hope you have a lot of fun here.
