Has anyone been to Humboldt County, California?
What was it like? Did you like it? The weather?
I am specifically interested in Eureka/Trinidad areas.

Did a nice road trip last September. Generally, I found the Coast area usually foggy, evenwhile a few miles inland the weather was bright and sunny. In either case, it was beatiful country and very picturesque.

I live in Humboldt County and it has some very nice areas, especially up near Trinidad. Along the coast it is often foggy, although sunny days are frequent and very pleasant. It is a very wet area, and the redwood forests are actually classified as rain forests. Eureka has some nice areas, but really isn’t the best town. Humboldt has a very large drug culture (based on marijuana growing) that has actually led to more unemployment, poverty, and crime than many other cities the same size. The smaller towns to the south of Eureka are much nicer, like Ferndale and Fortuna. The redwood forests are magnificent, and definitely worth the trip.
Yes it’s a beautiful place. A lot of culture and cool people. I’m attending Humboldt State University. The weather is chilly you have to bring a sweater. It’s beautiful. I love it. Old Town Eureka has cool shops also the Arcata Plaza Square too!
