looking for a plant that will grow under my pine and redwood and sequia trees?
i have these great tall trees in my front yard and i would like to put some plants and flowers under them but my problem of is the needles that fall from these trees. since they’re so acidic i need to be able to put plants that won’t be killed off by these needles. any suggestion would be much appreciated thank!
i haven’t tried any yet not sure were to start
and i live in the northern most part of california

Blueberries like it freakishly acidic.

Manzanita bushes grow well with pine trees.
For the site I attached, note the last paragraph which will lead you to a more complete plant list for under redwoods. Although the site is for my area in California, it may work for you too.
A search for acid-loving plants includes blue berries, azaleas, camellias, hydrangeas, rhododendrons. However, I don’t know if those plants need more sun than you can provide. But, at least it is a start…
Best of luck!
