What are nice vacation spots in California?
I was thinking of planning a trip to Cali but I don’t know to which city and beaches. I just want a place that has clean beaches, water sports, good restaurants, a hotel with spa treatments and shopping in the area. I know nothing about Cali though so its hard for me to plan a trip. Any suggestions on places to stay and places to go?

Well I’m happy you chose to come to California!
I live in Santa Monica, Ca. I recommend you going to Santa Monica beach. It is great! There is a amusement park right on the beach, a world famous pier, restaurants right on the pier I’ll name some for you: Mariasol Cocina Mexicana, Pacific Park Shops, Rusty’s Surf Ranch, Santa Monica Pier Seafood, Surf View Cafe, Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, and more, Santa Monica beach is also cleaned and ranked daily and it has a panoramic view or the Pacific Ocean. It also has a bike path you can ride on.
Here is a list of restaurants you can go to: The Wilshire restaurant, El Cholo Mexican Resturant, Melisse Resturant, Sushi Roku, Ocean Ave Seafood, Busbys resturant and bar, BOA Steakhouse, and Drago Restuarant is what I go to, and I’m sure you will enjoy it too! Now for water sports, you can go surfing, body boarding, skimboarding and such there is Disneyland in Anaheim not too far away from Santa Monica also. The Hotel I recommend is Le Marigot beach Hotel and spa here is it’s official website: http://www.lemerigothotel.com/
Santa Monica has soo much shopping! I would go to the Downtown Santa Monica & Third street promonaide. It is a llloongg strip of stores and resturants.
Here are some websites I recommend you visit: http://www.santamonica.com/

San Diego has everything. Santa Barbara is famous around the world for coastal location. Santa Cruz is a real gem. Monterey has a lot to offer. Big Sur just south of Carmel is beautiful. There’s alot to offer in California. Send me an email and I can give you lots of ideas. leahgibson@gibsonvacations.com or visit my site at http://www.gibsonvacations.com.
If you enjoy wine, head for Napa Valley or Sonoma County. Both have beautiful scenery, wonderful restaurants, and world class wineries where you can tour and sample wine. http://www.cheers2wine.com.
Yosemite National Park is absolutely awesome. The huge granite mountains, forests, and waterfalls are truly magnificent. This is the most beautiful place to get away and enjoy nature.
San Diego is a large coastal city known for its ideal weather all year round, spectacular sunsets, and 70 miles of beaches. There are lots of things to do in this special city. http://www.sandiego-romantics.com.
