Is Humboldt Park considered to be on the West Side of Chicago?

It is west of 90/94, but I don’t believe it is considered Westside. It is closer to the lake than it is to the western outskirts of the city.

I’ve practically lived in Humboldt Park all my life. I’ve heard it called the West side as well as (near) Northwest side in the media, so I guess both answers are ok. Just remember, Chicago has no "real" East side, so just about everywhere directly west of the loop/downtown/lakefront is called the West side.

When the Stone Greaser gang, "The Gaylords", were still there it was considered NW. Chicago Avenue is the dividing line.

Yes it is. The northwest side. Parts of it are being regentrified. It is a largely a Hispanic neighborhood. In times past it had a bad reputation for gang activity.
