If I'm a resident of Florida, can I get a summer job in California while I'm on vacation?
I’m 17 years old, my legal residence is Florida, but I’m going to be in California for the month of July, and I want to get a job.

Being a legal resident of Florida is not a problem. The lack of jobs in California is the problem.
It takes many months, or years, to find a job in California. Even if you start looking now, you are unlikely to find a job by July. Millions of residents of California are currently unable to find jobs there, and I do not see any reason that you would do any better.

Good luck.
California has the unemployment rate of 10.4% (the WORST in the nation!)
Extremely doubtful. Unemployment in California is about the highest in the country. There are very few jobs available, and hundreds of applicants for the few that do exist. Just enjoy your vacation.
