Where should I have my wedding in central NY/VT?
Here’s what I want: a small b and b or inn with a nice garden setting. Private/semi-private (as in secluded, but not necessarily out in the boonies) backyard. Maybe a fountain or pool. Preferably with a gazebo, but not necessary. I have been doing tons of searches online but I know there are more out there that I probably haven’t come across. I’m basically looking anywhere in central/upstate NY, but if you know of any in VT that’d be nice too. I’m not looking to spend a lot of money, and I need someplace small that can accomodate my wedding of less than 50. Any personal suggestions? The websearch thing just isn’t helping much…
Forgot to mention that I want to hold both the wedding and reception at the same place.

You are describing Lake George. If you haven’t been there before, do a little research and take a drive out there. I grew up in Upstate and Lake George was the place to get away. The lake makes a magnificent backdrop to the entire area.
Focus your search to the Lake George area and I promise you that something will come up. I was up there for a semi-formal event… and I wish I could remember the name of the venue. It was soooo beautiful.
Good luck with your search!
