Help me decide between two places for my romantic vacation?
Me and My boyfriend are going on a vacation for 1 wk in august. We have been on plenty of weekend retreats together but never for a full week, so this one is kinda special to me. He has always planned everything before but this time it is my turn. So we are down to 2 choices and I want to leave it up to the answers community to decide.
Choice A
A road trip from our home in seattle to yellowstone national park in WY. We would stop off a few places and stay a night or 2. Drive thru ID, MT, WY, and WA. Just the two of us.
Choice B
Take a train from our home in Seattle to a beach town in northern California(would be great if you could suggest 1), rent a lil cottage or stay in a hotel on the beach for a week.
Please tell me if you think we should do choice A or choice B and why you think we should choose that one. If you pick choice B please let me know where a good place in northern Cali is. Thanks for the Help! You will be rewarded for GOOD answers!

I would go with choice B..
As to why, simply because I wouldnt want to spend all that time in a car driving. The point is to get away and spend quality time together, how much fun is it going to be couped up in a car for several days. The train ride can be romantic in intself and also once you get to your destination in northern cali!

I don’t like the idea of driving because there’s a chance you guys could get lost and that creates arguments. It’s too much of a hassle when it’s supposed to be a romantic vacation. To me it means at ease relaxed and happy. Therefore Choice B is my pick.

choice B. Driving is not romantic.

I’m going to disagree with the majority here. I would go with choice A.
The trip to Yellowstone is about 12 hours by car. The train ride to No Cali will take at least 20 hours. You would be able to spend time doing things other than driving while in the train but you are stuck on the train. The car trip would allow you to see other sites and still get there in less time.
The trip to Yellowstone would be quieter and more romantic than being at a hotel near a beach which is bound to be crowded at this time of the year. You would be able to find many quiet out of the way places to spend time alone together at Yellowstone and on the journey. The sights would be better and the trip would be shorter leaving more time for fun.

I would say go with choice B, me and my boyfriend actually just drove to wyoming and its a long drive, we did it non stop though. but i would definitely say go to cali and get a private cottage, and even just the train ride down would be an adventure!!! but from seattle its a long drive and you get tired. so the train its not you driving and you guys can cuddle up together and watch the views go by!!! i hope this helps!!
I’d do choice B. I’m never been to northern California, so I can’t tell you a good beach.
I have been to Yellowstone, and it was a pretty majestic place. Wildlife, beautiful scenery, geysers, beautiful colorful pools. But the geysers and pools release sulfur, so the entire place smells of rotten eggs. That wouldn’t be very romantic.
The driving doesn’t sound very nice either. Don’t know about you and your boyfriend feel about it, but driving is stressful. Not very romantic either.
