On the south end is the Eureka/Arcata area and at the north is Crescent City. Between the 2 most of the big hotel chains are represented at least once. There are also B&B’s etc in Trinidad, Patrick’s Point, etc. Anywhere in that area will be pretty convenient. It will depend on availability and your budget where you finally decide on.
I’m assuming you don’t want to camp but If you do that would be the closest place to RNP since it is in the parks. But if you don’t want to camp try Elk Meadow Cabins. They are very nice cabins and are actually in RNP. They next closest south would be Trinidad which is a 20-25 minute drive to the park. Trinidad has lots of cabins, vacation rentals and bnbs and then there are hotels in Mckinleyville, arcata and Eureka further south.
