If I want to send a letter to EA for a game suggestion, which address do I send it to?
I know they might not take it seriously but I really want to suggest it. This is the address I have
209 Redwood Shores Parkway
Redwood City, CA 94065
United States
Is this the right address to send it to? If not, what is?
It is just a suggestion. I don’t want to be a part of making it or anything

In short, you can’t. EA (or any other large developer/publisher) doesn’t take suggestions ‘off the street’. The reason for this is profit and liability.
For example, say you sent EA a great idea about making a first-person shooter set in World War II. Then EA releases the game ‘Medal of Honor’ (A WWII based first person shooter), they’re afraid that you might attempt to sue them for ‘taking your idea’. So anything that you send to any developer/publisher that even remotely looks or smells like a Game Design document, they will immediately return to sender.
That being said, they have plenty of enough people working for them already, with years of experience, trying for the opportunity to work in an original IP (intellectual property). Big publishers, like EA (the largest publisher in the world), prefer ‘safe bets’, and that’s why EA makes of ton of sequels. They know you like Madden Football or the Sims, then you’re more likely to pick up the next Madden/Sims game next years, and the year after that, and so on.
Actual working Game Design documents are usually hundreds of pages long, full of all of the conceptual information on your game idea. Everything from system requirements, to player experience, gameplay, and even down to the design of the heads-up-display and menus layouts.
So basically, if you’re here asking Yahoo Answers, you’re probably in no condition to go presenting or pitching your idea to anyone at EA or any other game developer or publisher.
If however you have your heart set on your idea, and it’s something relatively original (not just an idea for a Sims 3 expansion pack or something), there are any number of independent game engines and utilities out that that can help you create your own game. You just have to be willing to put in the effort. But a playable demo that is actually fun, is the best game pitching tool out there.
