What does Redwood Original Mean in the TV series Sons of Anarchy?

I know Redwood Original is the main and original charter of the MC, but what is Redwood? a City in California? And what does it have to do with the MC which is mounted in Charming?

this was answered before. this is their charter. SAMCRO = sons of anarchy charter redwood original.somtimes referred to as Sam Crow. Redwood are the tree in the forests of California.
