How to get to the Redwood National forest…?
I am wondering what the most economical way to get from Sacramento International Airport to the Redwood National Forest in California.

Went to the Sequoia National forest in September
So glad I did

Take Interstate 5 150 miles north from the Sacramento airport. Gas up in Redding. You’ve got about four hours of mountain driving ahead of your.
If you’re not used to mountain driving, I highly recommend you do it during daylight hours. There are two reasons for this. First, the scenery will be spectacular, and if you drive at night, you will miss it. Second, if you’re not used to it, driving a dark mountain road at night will test your courage.
Take CA 44/299 west towards Eureka for 100 miles. At Willow Creek, take CA 96 towards Eureka for about 25 miles. Follow the signs.
If you just want to see massive centuries old redwood trees, there are places that are closer to Sacramento than Redwood National Forest.
