Black looks great with either of those. Lavender, no, no good at all. Yellow might work but only the right shade of yellow and there aren’t many that will work. Most blues will look good with it but don’t let them get even close to any shade of purple. Grey is good too. Maybe a soft grey, slightly on the blue side, will work. Go to a paint store and bring home a bunch of paint chips. They’re free and you can take all you want so bring any that look at all like they will work. Then you can see how they look in your room.
