A three star hotel with not so good reviews or a two star hotel with good reviews?
So I am going to San Diego to visit my boyfriend in the Navy and we are staying in a hotel near the Gaslamp in Downtown. I wanna make this trip memorable and do not want to deal with a bad hotel stay. So I’m choosing between Porto Vista and Best Western Cabrillo Garden Inn. Porto Vista have rating of 3.1 while Best Western have 4.2
Also, if anyone knows if Porto Vista have complimentary breakfast included…It doesnt say on their site and some say they do while some say they dont in the reviews. Thanks ;D
Also, they are the SAME PRice…
Also they are the SAME price

Very easy to decide on. A 2 star with good reviews simply mean they are striving to get a higher rating, and will do their best to further stand out. You can expect good service for your money. A 3 star with not so good reviews simply means that the service is deteriorating. You’ld just feel duped.
Ratings are more important than star level. Go with the 2 star.
