Any good tips to get epoxy resin to flow and level for a glassy finish coat?
Used on 2 x 6 x 6 redwood for patio table and benches.

I thought they used "polyester resin" (same stuff as the knacker-balls)

you can buy chemicals from the supplier of the resin to do this

Thin with acetone and even vibrating would help.

ive heard of people using hair dryers (on cool setting) to blow the finish out smooth.
Follow the instructions on the can of epoxy carefully. It probably will have a relatively short pot life once you have mixed the two components together, so I think you should consider whether epoxy is the best finish to use for your application. There are high gloss varnishes that might work better, especially for exterior use.
