Are there new Redwood trees growing today?
I’m doing a project for my college elementary ed science class. I have never had the opportunity to see the Redwood trees in California. Does anyone know if there are new trees sprouting that will one day live to be hundreds of years old?

California is full of them. Majestic!
Redwood trees are very popular in California for planting around homes, condo complexes and large public spaces. They grow rapidly and are quite hardy if they have enough water. How long the newly planted trees will live is unclear because most of them require supplemental watering in a state that has many water problems.
