Why doesn't the Bible specifically mention things like redwoods, maize, llamas, icebergs, coral reefs?
But it specifically mentions other animal and plant species?
Could it be because it was written by Palestinian goat herders who knew nothing about those things?
Many Christians will say "The Bible is not a nature treaty", but then again, it mentions ONLY stuff available in the Middle East, particularly in the Israel/Palestine area…
Why would "God’s Book" fail to describe stuff from elsewhere in the world?

Yet you and other ‘atheists’ are obsessed with GOD and HIS WORD.

why doesnt the bible talk about any other parts of the world but the ones they knew about? If it was inspired by a divine being who created this world, then he would know of all peoples on it, and all places. He would not be ignorant to asia, south america, north america, australia etc, but they were never mentioned. Only known places by the people who wrote it were mentioned.

because the Jews could only make up things that they have had an experience with. That is why this fictional tale has lasted awhile.

The OT was written to the Jews who were supposed to live in Israel – an area in Palestine defined by God.
If the Jews were outside of this area, they were already outside of the will of God…

Because the purpose of the Bible is not to be a natural beviary or encyclopedia, the purpose of scripture is to reveal Christ and our need of a perfect mediator for our sin.
Stop looking for things that aren’t there and repent and believe in the things that are.

Because it’s written by Humans, not written by the mystical hand of God. Stories passed down through the ages and changed occasionally by humans with sufficient power to alter it in their beliefs. They want it to encompass as much as they can without lending out too many specifics because the more specific it is the more likely it is that more contradictory errors will be found in it. I want to know why the Bible never mentioned dinosaurs. (although they were before the time that the Bible was written so that could have something to do with it)

The bible doesn’t specifically mention most everything in the world. So what? It never pretended to be an exhaustive catalog of flora, fauna, geography, science and technology…rather it’s a guide book to living a decent life.

You aren’t supposed to notice that.

It doesn’t describe a lot of things–it’s not an encyclopedia.

Why should it. The Bible is not here to prove that the physical world is right. We can look around with our own eyes and see that. The Bible is here to tell us about the spiritual world that we cannot see. The only way a human being can see the spiritual world of God is he must be born again. Man has to have 2 births one physical and one spiritual. If not the things of God makes no sense to him and is foolishness. Huh just like all atheist see it. Image that, the Bible tells us if you are not born of the spirit then the things of God are foolishness and the Cross of Christ makes no sense at all. Open your eyes and rebel against the ruler of this age. He has you bound and blind and only Jesus can set you free.

Because the human beings who wrote it knew only about their region of the world, and had no idea North and South America, the Arctic and Antarctic, and the Pacific Ocean existed. Its debatable whether they even knew that Europe and Asia existed, come to think of it.
Just like they didn’t know that the Earth revolves around the sun and vice versa.
Just like they didn’t know anything about modern medicine, psychology, or sexuality, either.
Makes you wonder about the supposed infallibility of the Bible, doesn’t it?
God hadn’t explored the rest of the world yet and he didn’t look when he was making it.
