Is it true Nevada residents can still get in-state tuition at a california university?
I’ve lived in nevada all my life, but i’m thinking about going to humboldt state university in northwestern california. Is there a way i could get in state tuition? what are the requirements?

oh wow.that’s wierd..I live in Crescent City…look that up! Its only 80 miles for Humboldt.I considered going to school there but I am going to Chico State instead. Anyways, I dont THINK you get in state tuition…because you are not a CA resident. I am from Crescent City and they were going to make me pay out of state to go to Southern Oregon University which is in Ashland OR (100 miles north of CC). So I doubt you can. I WISH! 🙂
Good luck on your studies!

its different at every school. I live right where ky, ohio, and wv meet. All the schools around here offer discounted tuition rates to people who live in the surrouding counties of the other two states. I’m going to marshall university which is in huntington wv, and they have what they call a metro tuition rate which is in between in-state and out-of state tuition rates.

I got this off your schools website and it doesnt say anything about nevada residents. If they did charge you in-state tuition i’m pretty sure it would say something about it
Some states have agreements where if one state does not offer majors or programs in a specific field of study, a student from a neighboring state can get in for a reduced tuition and fee structure or as an in-state student.
That works with medical school and vet schools.
