What type of ferns grow in Northern California?
Specifically Humboldt county. Humboldt is located on the coast, and the elevation of the ferns I saw was probably only 100 feet to 200 feet about sea level.

There are a number of ferns that grow in N. Ca.
Bracken, Maiden hair, among others.
If you can get tot he library, I suggest Jepson’s manual of the flowering plants of California, it does include ferns.
