Does anyone know of a good place to take the family for vacation in California that is like a lodge with cabins and activites and swimming….

So me and my girlfriend are going to the redwood forest in a couple weeks and I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions on what is the funnest to do. I have been there before and I really want to have fun but not in the usual touristy way. If any one knows where to maybe go zip lining, or anything like that I would greatly appreciate it.
