It’s our 17th year anniversary. We love nature and the ocean – been here forever – we feel like we’ve seen it all but we have to keep it local.
Any interesting suggestions would be sooo appreciated!

Our family. ((grandma, gramps, mom and dad, 2 daughters, 18 and 12)) are going on a family vacation. we haven’t been on one in over ten years. We know we want to go out West. ((we are from Illinois)Although excited to get away from the city, we aren’t sure where to go, what to see or what to do. Other than the two girls, everyone has been out west before. And by out west, I mean, Wyoming, Colorodo, California, south dakkota.
YOu would think that would make the trip easier to plan, but we still aren’t sure where to go. The girls want to see yellowstone. Thats a must on the trip. We aren’t sure though, if California is worth the trip to see the redwoods/seqoiuas. They are truly beautiful. but they are pretty much all there is to see in that state for us. Should we still take the kids?
We scratched South dakota, but are now reconsidering. What else is there to do other than Mt. Rush and Devil’s tower?
Where is the best place to take the kids? Where have you gone and had fun?

What should I make sure not to miss? We will be hitting Redwoods, Prarie Creek, and Jedediah Smith parks. Also, we won’t be camping the full week. We want to break it up with a night in a cute motel or B&B every couple nights, any suggestions on lodging?

I’m traveling from Seattle to Las Vegas and stopping in Northern California. I would like to stay in maybe like a cabin or something. Preferrably something newer though..with nice amenties. OR maybe stay in a hotel near the redwoods that has some nice, newer amenties? Does anyone have any ideas, suggestions, experiences?

Also, one more question..are the redwoods near the ocean? If so is there anywhere to stay between the two?

THe commmericals state all of these things people do because their is a tomorrow, like toastmasters, but then the commerical throws in not having broccoli and dairy in the past week. Why does Hilton Garen Inn believe avoding broccoli and dairy is beneficial???

Hi im planning to go camping but have no idea which one to choose. I don’t know if Redwood national park is open late october, it’s a little more inconvenient to get this one. However, I wanted to know which one is more fun/interesting. I might have to settle for Humboldt.

My extended family went on a cruise altogether last year and we want to vacation together again this year. Except, my brother in-law doesn’t want to go on another cruise. Which, the cruise was pretty boring (carnival). Unless you were 5&under, you had nothing to do. THANKFULLY WE HAD EACH OTHER! But, anyways, we want to go on vacation together in November, around Thanksgiving. We just have no idea what to do! We want to keep it around 00 (4 people). We live in the U.S. Where is there to go without freezing your toes off? We are willing to go to other country’s Thanks 🙂

My dream vacation is going to tornado valley with a small group that tracks tornado’s for a month and when they find them they go out and take picture and videos and so on, and study them. Basically to go on a small group to tornado valley and track tornado’s for a month.
